We meet again today. 🙂 And today, I’m going to write about the basic computer skills which is typing. Does it look easy to type? Yeah. Most people will say like that because you only have to write but no! Even typing can be a little bit hard especially when you enter the job world. This is because you have to type your work or document as fast as lightning. Remember, time wait for nobody 😉

For your information, typing is the process of writing or the users input the text by pressing the keys on the keyboard, calculator , cellphone etc. Everyone should practice it at least for fifteen minutes for a day, so that their typing speed will be like 30 words in a minute 

So here, for people who think typing is easy like a piece of cake, I dare you to take this typing test and tell me back about your opinions about it xD Just kidding :p Nah.. I won’t do that but I still want you guys to take this typing test. After you took this test, you may know if it is easy or not to type something especially when you’re under pressure. It is as simple as tic tac toe but for sure you have to retake the test if you want your typing skills become more better than before 😉 This is a picture about this typing test. In this typing test, you can adjust the time from minute 1 until minutes 5. You can choose the story that you want to write and after that, you just have to click the orange button, ‘Start Typing Test’. After you click it, it will bring you to another page and you can start to prepare yourself to write the story they gave to you. 

 

Not to forget, dear that in this typing test, they have their own rules 😉

1. You must follow the Caps Lock. 

2. You should not write the wrong words.

3. You have to type with no grammar error.

4. You need to type as fast as you can.

After you’re done with the test, it will show you the results. For example,

If you type too fast and you have too many error, it will reduce your mark to Slow since you have to type with free error ^_^. If you write slowly but you have no error, you will get Average. If you’re okay with both of it, you will get Pro. Even if you fast but have one error, you still only get Fluent or Fast only. See? This is why I told you guys that typing also one of the basic computer skills that we should never neglect it 😉 So, tell me in the comments below if you have done the test ♥♥♥

Today, I would like to tell you guys about computers but before I start, what is the correct definition of a computer?

Computer can be define as an electronic device, operating under the control of instructions stored in its own memory, that can accept data (input), process the data (output), and store the information for the future rules.

Do you guys understand it? If you dont, you can just read it again, again and again 😉 Hehehehe…

So, can you guess what is the example of the computers? No worries, if you don’t, I am going to list it for you guys.

• Laptops
• Tablets
• Dekstop and All-in-Ones
• Servers

Now, let me explain about all of this types.

1. Laptops

Laptop or well-known as a notebook computer, is a thin, lightweight mobile computer with a ascreen in its lid and a keyboard in its base.

 

2. Tablets

Tablet is a thin, light-weighter mobile computer that has a touch screen. It is smaller than a laptop but larger than a phone.

 

3. Dekstops and All-in-Ones

Dekstop is a personal computer and it have been designed to be put in a stationary location, where all of its componrnts fit on or under a desk or table.

All-in-One also a type of desktops but it doesn’t contain a tower and it uses the same case to house the display and the processing circuitry.

 

4. Servers

Servers is a computer that dedicated to provide one or more services to other computers or device on a network.

Before I start to write today’s main entry, I want to apologize to all of you that have been e-mailing me and asking more about the computer skills at my last entry. It’s not like I don’t want to tell you more about it but I want to write in this entry today. Hehehehe… Sorry once again for not telling you guys the title of the next entry I will do today. Okay, as I said just now, today’s entry is about the example of computer skills!! 1,2,3… Lets read it!

There are many types of computer skills that your employer will expect from you especially when you’re the new scouts that got accepted in the work. For sure not to forget that the computer skills is depend on your career or industry 🙂 For example, if you’re applying for a job as an office manager, you likely are required to know the basic on how to use the word processing programs, e-mail platforms, spreadsheets and other communication tools. If you want to be a librarian. you have to know how to operate the computers in the library and its application like the borrowing and receiving machine.

While there are myriad of computer skills, there are also commonly skills that have been used in all industries. Some of the most important skills to learn is office suites, presentation software, operating systems, spreadsheets, communication and collaboration tools, accounting software, social media and data visualization. Is this the first time you know about this things? No worries because I’ll explain it to you after this 😉

We meet again in this entry, Alhamdulillah. I hope that every single people who read my blog are in His guidance ♥♥♥  And how was your day today? I hope that it is not that tough for you guys out there 🙂

As I said to you guys in the last entry, today I’m going to write about the reason why computer skills are important for us. It won’t take too much time for you guys to read all of it since I’m gonna make it really simple just for you guys.

The reason why basic computer skills are important nowadays especially for those who are hunting for a job is because of most of the jobs, require the use of the computers, mobile devices or maybe software applications in some capacity. The employers will require people who have knowledge and many experience with the specific applications. Isn’t it terrifying that if you guys already get the job but you guys lose it just because of you don’t know the basic of the computer skills. If you don’t think so, I do. 

It doesn’t matter if you’re employed in manufacturing, food service, customer service or tech, the employers will use the computer applications to make sure that certain tasks, streamline communication and others are automated with one another. Job applicants with computer skills are highly sought-after due to the increment of technology in the workplace. In this case, the ways to show that your computer skills to your future employers is by identifying the computer-related requirements on job posting and you can explain it on your resume that you are one from many that meet those requirement + with your past experience 😉

Do you understand now the reason why the computer skills are important? You don’t have to be an adult that are trying to get themself a job to know the computer skills but instead, if you are a student and you’re reading this, you should prepare yourself for the better future. How are you today? Are you ready today? If you’re ready, lets go!

So, for this entry… I’m going to share with you guys about the basic of computer skills. Yeah, I knew that most of you already know about how to use the computer correctly and much better than me but it doesn’t mean that you already know all of the basic of the computer skills, okay?

First of all, do you guys know what is the meaning of basic computer skills? Basic computer skills can be defined as an ability to sit down at your computer and you have enough knowledge about how you want to use the software so that you will know what you need to do navigate either Microsoft based or industry specific software (Bugni. D, 2018). In fact, even when you know all of the basic computer skills, you still won’t become the computer literacy person even though you know how to operate the computers correctly. This is because computer have lots of component that you have to study first before you can proudly say that you yourself is a computer literacy person. Even for me, I still have a long journey to become one♥

The basic skills of the computer can be separated into two categories which is hardware and software. the hardware skills will allow you physically the knowledge on how to operate the computer. Everyone can learn the hardware skills as it is as easy as how to turn on and off the device. And it might involve more complex task like connecting machines to networks, changing parts or fixing broken devices. To learn that complex tasks, many employers will hire trained technicians with the advanced computer skills to solve it.

Another skills is the software skills. It will help you to efficiently using the computer programs and its application. There are some parts of the software skills that the employers itself may consider as prerequisites to employment. Even though the employers might not include it in some software skills on the job post or the job requirement, people should know about it. The basic of the computer skills will including if the users know how to send and receive the e-mails, as well as how to attach the documents to the e-mails and how to open it when they’re attached. This will also include if the users know how to copy and paste the information simple yet faster and using the correct ways.

It still have a long explanation to be explain but let me stop here for you as I want you to absorb it slowly. If you try to learn it in one-go, you might get information overload which is not good for your own self. The next entry, I will write about why the basic computer skills are important.           I hope you guys are in the pink of health and having a nice day today 🙂 Back to my topic for this entry, I’m so excited to tell you guys about the purpose why I create this blog! As you guys knew about it, I’m one of the degree students that studied at UiTM Rembau for course Information Management (IM). As one from the IM’s students, I have to keep myself updated for any type of information either it happen in the fast, now or in the future. So, because of that, I’ve learnt about many things that I’ve never knew before after I study in this course more deeper. It feels like I’m just a tiny little ant that tried to live in this big big world. 

          Before this, I thought that I already have lots of knowledge already but studying in this course make me realize how stupid of me to be proud about the knowledge I have in me. When the real truth is the knowledge that I have cannot compare the knowledge I’ve got in this course. Of course, I won’t get this knowledge if I didn’t enter the university. Entering the university is something that I always dream and now I have achieved one of my dreams. 

          Since I’m already a university’s stuedents, I also have to do lots of assignments that have been given to me and one of those assignments is to create my blog. This is why I create this blog xD It might sounds childish but it is true. I’ve never thought about making one tho even though it is one of my dreams and I guess that what makes I’ve killed two birds with one stone. Am I right or wrong? ekekekeke Just say I’m right xD Okay, that’s my reason why I create this blog. I have to finished my blog so that I can start to make my report on this blog and submit my assignment!! But no worries dear, since I’m going to write many entried in this blog with full of information as I’ve wrote for my tagline in the cover of this blog♥

For this entry, I’m going to introduce myself like I have said in the title!! Yeah!! So exciting :3 Well, I’m not going to use my real name but you guys can just call me Aikhazzz. ^_^ I was born on 30th March 1999 and that makes me 19 years old in this year but believe me that I’m getting younger and younger even though I’m aging ekekekeke xD I’m currently studying course Information Management at UiTM Rembau for my degree! + I’m one of Utaites’ fans ^///^ and feel free to ask me anything about it even though I’m still new in this fandom.

 

First and foremost, I would like to welcome all of you guys to my blog since this is the first time I’m having one. Actually, to have my own blog is something that I can never think about because I always dream about it when I was young. Hey! It’s not like I’m already old! Huahahaha xD I’m only 19 this year and yeah, I’m not that young either to complaint about my  age.

Okay, talk about why I dreamed to have my own blog since I’m still kid is because of I always want to share to many people about my life. About the journey of my life that not everyone can feel it because all of us have different life that we have gone through, right? So, why not I share mine? At least people can enjoy it as if they’re in my place. Unfortunately, I never had that chance to create my own blog until now ♥ It’s kind of awkward tho at first to write all this things that I want to because I used to write in my journal but now, getting to write at the real blog still give me a chill.
